In October 2005, a computer was stolen from the Embedded Technology Corporation. Their groundbreaking GPAC security system was set up for demonstration purposes at the time. The movement sensors set off cameras, which took a clear picture of the thief, and recorded a log of the intrusion. Within ten minutes it had been clearly identified exactly what had happened, and the item of stolen property was recovered within a day as a result.
