The event showcased the technology of sixty participating organisations with local, national, and international judges including representatives from Defense, Homeland Security, and Law Enforcement from many countries. After two days of grueling judgment, deliberation and discussion, the prize was awarded to Embedded Technologies for their Global Security Management tool, the GPAC System®. The prize was happily received by Martin Cebis, CEO of Embedded Technologies Corporation.

Embedded Technologies made a distinct impact at this event by demonstrating their unique Command and Control software with US Law Enforcement vehicles equipped with computers, monitors, cameras and sensors. The two retrofitted vehicles, one Border Patrol van and a Sheriff's department Mobile Command Unit RV, were on display flanking the entrance to the museum.

Embedded Technologies personnel established communication with the devices on board the vehicles from inside the Conference facilities via a wireless network where the system was displayed on a plasma screen. Using Global Mesh Technologies they were able to quickly create, use and redeploy a network between sensors, cameras and other equipment remotely.

Both portable and vehicle mounted sensors collected information, and with the aid of the GPAC System®, reported events in real time to the correct authority depending on the sensor triggered. Only by using sensors and cameras in co-ordination with the GPAC System® and people, the right information would be delivered to the right person in real time.

Just one product demonstration received national television coverage at this event, the GPAC System®.
