Embedded Technologies Corporation has developed a unique control and automation product using open source technologies. The product, GPAC System^®, is a flexible and low cost system that can be deployed in data gathering control situations for research and industry and in the area of national security for intrusion detection and coordination between different security bodies. As examples, aquaculture producers can use it to monitor and improve their growing processes. Researchers can use and re-use it for data gathering, complex experiments that need intelligent action and to speed the analysis and write up of their publications or use it to prove process feasibility of research outcomes through to the pilot of their processes.
