The GPAC System® for Security and Rapid Response- Description and Scenarios for Use Martin Cebis & Sahid Sesay, Embedded Technologies Corporation Embedded Technologies Corporation will be discussing their critical infrastructure protection and perimeter intrusion detection product (the GPAC System®). The GPAC System®) cost effectively provides remote critical infrastructure and tactical asset intrusion detection with real time alerts and forensic capabilities while being easy to install, maintain and use in urban and remote locations. The GPAC System® integrates control and data acquisition elements with security elements via a secure, accessible interface. It is a platform for data gathering and research to provide visual and sensory information for further pattern analysis. Further, it is a practical instrument that is deployed in a port security location and for other fields of use. It has the capability to cost effectively improve the security environment by counter-intuitively turning the perceived vulnerability of SCADA type control systems into a security and rapid response strength. A strong feature of the system is its ease of use and re-configurability along with its ablity to coordinate across different groups and tactical assets. This talk will describe scenarios for use including homeland security, command centre and potential covert and active engagement uses in both fixed and mobile situations. Link to original abstract |
